A very brief summary of notable events

We would like to thank those who visited our stalls at Kildale Show and Stokesley Show and contributed to our fund raising.

At Stokesley Show on 18th September Stokesley Farmers' Beagles shared the parade ring with Cleveland Foxhounds and both were received with a very warm and enthusiastic welcome from the crowd.

Our first meet of the season was held on Saturday 2nd October 2004 and was well supported even though the weather was cold and wet.

Blunder came a creditable 3rd in the beagle trial organized by the Newcastle & District Beagles on a wet day by Hadrian's Wall.

A very enjoyable Christmas lunch was had at the Jolly Sailors.

In January a joint Meet was held at the invitation of the Colne Valley Beagles to hunt white hares on Black Hill.

A joint Meet was held at Glaisdale with the Newcastle & District Beagles.

In February a joint Meet was held with the Weardale & Tees Valley Beagles at Dimmingdale.

The invitation was returned and a joint Meet was held with the Weardale & Tees Valley Beagles in its country.

During the Hunting Week a joint Meet was held with the Colne Valley Beagles at Ainthorpe

The last Meet before the Hunting Act comes in to force is due to be held at Danby on Thursday 17th February.

The first Meet after the Hunting Act comes into force will be held at the Jolly Sailors on Saturday 19th  and it is hoped as many as possible can attend to show their support of hunting. This will be the first Meet held under the Stokesley Farmers' Beagles new constitution which states that hunting will be undertaken in compliance with the Hunting Act 2004.
